Ford has upgraded the software in the MyFord to make it more user friendly and quicker responses. Ford has recently been criticized by J.D. Power and Associates for the system being “unintuitive”. This hurt Ford’s ranking, dropping them to below twenty on the list. Ford now has listed to the consumers that have dropped complaints and has issued a “test group” to see what comments will come of this. This will be a hands on experience for the drivers, in hopes that the more time they spend with it, they will be able to use every option it has available.
Ford’s test group is none other than their own employees. The have a group consisting of approximately 1,000 employees that have their own employee leased vehicle. Ford has the original plan of running this employee test group for a month. This should have ample opportunity for any driver to experience the agile or frustrating software that just won’t work. The experiences will consist of every day driving, to going out with friends or loved ones and maybe a weekend travel to another town. Either way, this is a safe way for Ford to get their product out but still be able to keep it on the down low. When the new MyFord does hit the markets, be sure to find Ford Lakeland to assist you in the most recent updates.
After Ford smooths the latest software, the updated MyFord will be in the 2013 models and those models will be out late next year. Not all models will get the new updated system, it will be the Escape, Flex and the Taurus. Ford wants the system to be seamless and intuitive, not what consumers have called it. The owners of the other Ford models will be able to have the new software downloaded via jump drive or go to the Ford Washington D.C. Dealer where they can install it for you.
Drop by your favorite Ford Dealership PA, see what option they have for you. Every piece of software has some sort of bug to have worked out, even though you think they should know this. Even look at the Ipad’s, their first one has beens said to be a piece of crap. The Safari system constantly crashing on it. Now, the second generation Ipad is better some have said, they were able to work out the bugs with the operating system. I, personally, have a Ipad first generation and it does crash quite often when I am on Safari.
